John Rabbetts

​I was born in Southampton but it wasn't until I moved to Bridport that I really took off as an artist. I have won several awards including the 'Kieth cast cup'.

 

I have taught art at various locations and have done numerous demonstrations across the south of England and have had several one man exhibitions.

I have been a professional artist for over twenty years. My main interests are the human form, I find painting people an endless source of interest, although lately, I have discovered that the 'horse and rider' a new unexpected fascination. My first inspiration was (and occasionally is) Walter Sickert.
